Disclaimer
1. Educational information only
Everything on The Printing Max is general educational information about printers. It is not professional repair advice, technical support or a substitute for the manufacturer’s documentation, and reading it does not create any service or advisory relationship with us.
2. No guarantee of results
Printers differ by brand, model, region, firmware and connection type, and computers differ by operating system, version and configuration. Menu names and steps change over time. A procedure that works for one setup may not work, or may not be available, on another. We do not guarantee that following any guide will fix a problem.
3. Safety
Before cleaning, moving or troubleshooting a printer, read and follow the safety instructions in your printer’s manual. In particular:
- Electricity: switch the printer off and unplug it before cleaning it, reaching inside it or moving it, unless a guide or your manual specifically says the printer must be on for that step (for example, when the carriage moves into a cartridge-replacement position). Never use a printer with a damaged power cord, and keep liquids away from it.
- Hot surfaces: the fuser inside laser printers and the parts near it can be very hot during and after printing. Let the printer cool before reaching inside.
- Moving parts: keep fingers, hair, jewellery and loose clothing away from rollers, gears and the print carriage. Do not force parts that do not move freely.
- Ink and toner: avoid contact with skin and eyes, do not breathe toner dust, keep consumables away from children and pets, and follow the safety information supplied with them.
- Internal components: do not remove covers that require tools, or open power supplies or other internal parts. Leave internal repairs to the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
4. Warranties and your device
Some actions — such as opening the printer, using certain third-party parts or modifying firmware — may affect your warranty under the manufacturer’s terms. Check your warranty terms before acting, and contact the manufacturer or retailer if your printer is under warranty.
5. Independence and trademarks
The Printing Max is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or authorised by HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Microsoft, Apple, Google or any other company mentioned on the website. All product names, brands and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products discussed. We do not use manufacturers’ logos.
6. Software and downloads
We do not host or distribute drivers or software. When a guide mentions software, download it only from the manufacturer’s official website or your device’s official app store. Be wary of websites, pop-ups or callers that ask for payment or remote access to “fix” or “install” a printer.
7. Advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship
The Printing Max currently contains no affiliate links and no sponsored content, and we receive no payment from any manufacturer or retailer for what we publish. If this changes, we will update this disclaimer and clearly disclose any paid relationship.
8. External links
