Editorial Policy
1. Our purpose
Our goal is to publish printer guides that are accurate, easy to follow and genuinely useful, so readers can understand a problem and make sensible decisions about it. We write for people without technical knowledge.
2. How guides are researched
- We base procedures on manufacturers’ user documentation and help pages, and on operating-system help from Microsoft, Apple and Google, where those sources are available.
- Where steps differ between operating systems, printer types (inkjet or laser) or models, we say so, and we describe settings in general terms when exact menu names vary.
- We do not copy content from other websites. Every guide is written in our own words.
- We do not include steps that require disassembling a printer beyond what manufacturers document for owners.
3. Accuracy checks
Before publication, each guide is checked against its sources for factual accuracy, safety warnings, the order of steps, clarity and working links. We avoid absolute promises: no guide claims to fix every problem. We do not publish unverified driver downloads or link to unofficial software.
Our guides are written and reviewed by the The Printing Max editorial team. We do not currently use an external expert-review panel, and we do not claim our guides have been certified by any manufacturer or professional body.
4. Updates and review dates
Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. We revisit guides when operating systems or manufacturers make significant changes, when readers report problems, and periodically as part of routine maintenance.
5. Corrections
If you spot an error, an outdated step or a safety concern, please tell us through our contact form and choose “Correction or outdated information”. We review every report. When we make a significant correction, we update the guide and its review date.
6. Independence
We are not affiliated with any printer manufacturer or retailer, and no company pays for, reviews or approves our content before publication. We currently have no affiliate links or sponsored content. If we introduce any form of monetisation, it will be clearly disclosed and will not influence what we recommend.
7. Images
Illustrations on the website are simplified diagrams created for The Printing Max. They show general concepts and are not pictures of any specific manufacturer’s product.
